Iva was born in Carson City Nevada but grew up in California. She has 4 older brothers all Martial Arts instructors and daughter...Iva comes from a long lineage of artist from her Great Grandfather Adolph Singer who played clarinet with the John Phillips Sousa band to her Grandmother who was a very talented oil painter, Aunts and brothers all in the arts. Iva was formally an EMT in Los Angeles. She worked in the hospitals as well as on the Ambulance. She works with animal rescue and several charities. Iva has been acting professionally since 1987 and unprofessionally long before that. Iva has 14 years of training in every genre of the art. Ex husband Matthew Singer, Uncle is Robert Singer, senator of New Jersey. Matthew and Iva still work together as writing partners. Iva's maiden name is Franks-Singer...coincidence on the last name of ex husband.

Iva along with her 2 writing partners (Matthew Singer and David Garin George) have after 6 years...finished the action adventure, comedy titled "All the Best Field Trips". (WGAw Registered) This film is expected to go into preproduction in 2008.She has been an athlete from childhood.She does a lot of work on her vehicle and several friends vehicles.A very technologically knowledgeable person, working on computers as well. It stems from being the baby and only girl of four older brothers.She is very close to her family and a very tight knit group of friends.Loves writing and creating.Iva loves to golf and is currently playing in celebrity charity tournaments, snow skis, studies martial arts with her family and enjoys horseback riding.Daughter of Sharon Singer.Iva is on the board of the "Reel Women International Film Festival".Iva is a victims rights advocate, continually working with other advocates to bring awareness and change legislation for the rights of victims.Iva is on the Board of Directors of the "Alliance of Women Filmmakers".
